The brief was to create an elegant, traditional, hand crafted space in which to entertain, that maximised the windows to frame the picturesque Somerset countryside views.
We have created an extension that subtly fitted into the surrounding area. We felt that a green oak frame would bring a softer feel, in contrast to the harshness of local stone.
This structure really is a traditionalists dream, with the whole structure held together using the draw peg method of building. It is clad in beautiful air dried oak, with the roof finished with cedar shingles.
With 7 separate windows, every angle provides a beautiful framed view across the surrounding hills.
Not only a perfect room to dine in, but one to inspire the senses!
